911 "Cell Phone for Seniors" Project

Monroe County is working with Eldersource on an initiative that collects used cell phones and re-programs them to #911, as a way to provide an extra measure of security to the homebound frail elderly.

The pre-programmed phones will be then be made available to these Monroe County residents through Eldersource.
